Ivermectin is controversial and is being studied actively. There are some meta-analyses done outside the USA suggesting some possible benefit but there is not enough data to support routine use in the USA and this is reflected in warnings from the CDC, FDA and AMA. Regardless, everyone still needs to be vaccinated to try and PREVENT disease.
